Please ignore the colors. They are just used to signify each component.
The grey board in the front can be a computer screen, Promethean board, or chalkboard. Which? I tried a computer mouse instead of the blocks, but it looked odd with the shoe. It could replace the shoe. What does everyone think of the scale and flow of the elements? I could raise the blue center 6” to allow more of the shoe and blocks to show when riders are seated.
Please give your honest opinions, even if they are harsh. I will not take offense. Is it too big or small, complicated or simple, expensive or cheap … you get the idea? Now is the time to sort stuff out while it is still just a bunch of pixels.

Thanks for drawing those up Jon!

Hey Jon,
Those look great! Thank you so much for doing those. I was thinking we could have another block so there would be 3 total with 2 of them on the bottom and one sitting on the top of those. And I think it would be a good idea to raise the blue center 6" like you said, so that we could see more of the elements in the center.

Also, what if we made the shoe a little bigger? Is that possible? Another idea we had instead of a computer screen was a crayon box. And having 2 tiers in the crayon box to have 8-10 kids, 4-5 on each row, to sit in dressed up as crayons. What do you think?

Sure we can change the size of the sneaker. It is 7+ feet long by 3 feet high now. I think 3 feet is about right to give the teacher something to hold on to. We can add a platform in the sneaker if we make it bigger.
Is this an issue of prominence with the sneaker or is it about how it fits with the other elements. As a reference the block are 2x2 and the book is about 6 feet tall. The top of the book is almost 11 feet off the ground.
I like the Crayon idea. I can draw it up, if others like it too.

Hello guys! I am very impressed with the overall design of our float. We are in the process of remodeling our new office and may have some reusable or left over materials that maybe of value. Just let me know.

Jon-for the shoe, I was thinking bigger for prominence. I was concerned about the shoe being seen with the height of the kids on either side of it. I think it fits great with the other elemnts. Referring to the crayon question in the email, we were thinking that we could have the back of the crayon box right up against the back of the truck. Which means the kids who sat in it would be facing the shoe. Then it would just take the spot of the computer and not be in the way of any other elements.
I forgot to mention that the details of the pencils and number flash cards are perfect!
Marc- any supplies would be great! We'll know more of what we need this next week. Thanks!

I just tried to post a comment and it vanished, so here it goes again. It might be a little curt, sorry.
I had mentioned earlier the possibility of raising the center platform 6 inches. I was trying to keep the cost down. Maybe going a little bigger with the shoe and raising the platform will keep things in balance and give the shoe prominence.
Also, what is the budget for the build portion and what is the funding source?
Finally, what is the exact pick-up time and whose truck are we using? We need a 2-5/16 ball and a 6-pin, round harness plug.
